SUPERNOVA E3 FRONT LIGHT

The E3 can be mounted on any fork with a central 6mm hole. For bikes with road style caliper brakes already attached there, we recommend the handlebar-mounted version (E161-B). For road bikes with Shimano shifters, we recommend the central handlebar mount (E780) to place the light higher than the cables.
The E3 is compatible with all standard 6V dynamos, not with the Dymotec S12, FER SD12 and other 12V dynamos.Two serially connected E3s work with the Dymotec S12 and the FER and any 6V dynamo without any voltage limiting electronics (can be removed from modern Shimano dynamos, for example). With two E3s on a 6V dynamo, you will get a max. light output of 120 Lux, but only at a speed of ca. 8 mph. Never use the light with batteries! The international version of the E3 may not be used in Germany because German traffic laws don't allow cyclists to have such a bright light. We offer a special version for that eventuality.

Please note: after extended periods of inactivity, the stand light needs an initial one-time charge of ca. 15 min. brisk cycling. It will not work with an old-style incandescent rear light!

Handlebar-mounted E3

The ideal E3 for Road bikes with caliper brakes or for mountainbikes with high-quality suspension forks. Or for people who just want their light to be positioned a little higher on their bikes. Please order the suitable handlebar mount below.

that can be attached to all standard fork mounts.

The sealing of the entry points of the cables into the housing need to be
reinforced with silicone sealant if the light is installed upside down!
